All my multi-engine training was in a Seneca I. I absolutely love this old airplane, even after flying a brand-new Seminole. Being in a Seneca makes me feel like I'm flying a real airplane, not a go-kart with wings.
- Six seats
- Great trainer
- Slow

I did my initial multi engine training in a Piper Seneca. It is a very stable platform and in that regard a fantastic trainer. One of the major drawbacks, however, is the poor visibility. I found that by the time I got my eyes around the engines there was very little real estate left for spotting traffic. Keep your eyes peeled for other targets and you'll get a lot of satisfying flying hours out of this machine.
- stable
- reliable
- poor visibility
